Here is how to configure your Instamic with the Atomos Shogun
NOTES
- This feature is currently in beta, and some aspects of the ATOMOS AirGlu™ Protocol may not be fully supported or stable.
- We recommend that you upgrade your Instamic Pro Plus and Plus C to the latest firmware version here.
Let's start
1. Launch the Instamic Remote application and select Audio Recorder on the Home page.
2. On the Connect Page, tap on the Instamic available to connect to it.
If multiple Instamics are available, tap the Multiconnect button to connect to them all simultaneously.
By default, Instamic is set to save the time of day from your mobile device in timecode format (INT).
3. Access the Settings Page to choose your preferred Timecode System. In this tutorial, we select the Atomos Airglu (beta) as our option.
4. Long tap on each unit to disconnect from Instamic or long tap on the Multi-connect button to disconnect them all simultaneously
4. Navigate to the Sync Config Menu on the Atomos Shogun and pair your Instamic.
You can pair up to 2 units with our Shogun.
If you want to sync more Instamic you will need an UltraSync Blue (procedure here)
5. On our app, the Timecode line will turn green and display EXT (External). Instamic has successfully detected the Timecode broadcasted by the Atomos Shogun. You can manually refresh the Timecode Syncing by tapping the TC button on the Connect or Capture Page.
6. Navigate to the Sync Network to verify that all your Instamic are connected to the Shogun
Press record to start rolling on your Shogun and all Instamic connected to it :)
Please don't hesitate to share your feedback at [email protected]. Since this implementation of the Atomos Airglu System is still in beta, we greatly appreciate your input.
